The role of light in spaces has always deeply intrigued me and has been a theme of my paintings and drawings for many years. In 2018, while installing an oil painting in an exhibition, I noticed when a spotlight focused on the painting, the depicted light got intervened by the added light and was inevitably less “ideal” with the spotlight. Therefore, I decided to first fix a spotlight on a wall and then draw the ideal light tailored to that distribution of light.
