Ideal Way is a project inspired by a place.
There is a stairway next to my sophomore-year studio leading up to the roof – a bare concrete stairway with white walls flaking on the sides and a piece of sky framed at the upper end. I was somehow attracted by its configuration of physical features, which triggered a series of experiments exploring the features such as materials, shapes, and orders. The artifacts were then placed at the site.
