“Between life and myself, Time has laid its isthmus, and it is a longer one than I had been expecting.”
― Claude Lévi-Strauss, Tristes Tropiques
{2012-2017} represents a gap between the present and the past, invoking memories from the author’s personal history and gradually revealing interconnections between events. The installation’s gradually narrowing space incorporates elements symbolizing related memories, awaiting discovery by the audience as they explore. Towards the far end, the walls draw closer, naturally halting the audience’s progression.
